After we had a bbq at their place and got to visit with their doggos and piggies. They know all the dogs in canoa. They rescue tons of them, provide necessary treatment, and rehome them. They are angels and the animals in Ecuador would be worse off if it weren't for them. Beer and food was all included. The owners are AMAZING people that love their animals and are super friendly. The BBQ was specially delicious, the craft beer too. The landscape is beautiful and galloping on the beach is a fantastic experience. Totally recommend it!

  Me and my wife visited Zia on our travels through Ecuador.
Didn't know quite what to expect when booking this for my wife but figured the tour had something for... read more the both of us with the included stop of a local brewery!!!
The process was so easy to book with a few simple questions to be answered to enable the correct horse to be partnered with!
We where collected from our hostel in town and on arrival we had no doubt we where in for a great tour, the horses are in amazing condition and all the tack is clean and well maintained. The tour through the jungle takes in some amazing scenery as well as rural villages before your arrival at the brewery! We had a little over an hour here where we got a guided tour from the owner of this small brewery before having some time to relax and sample a few of his beers! We than began the ride back to ranch which is again set in the most picturesque of scenes!! Once we had said our goodbyes we then got a lift back to town!
This was honestly one of the best trail rides I have experienced with my wife and we have taken a few all around the world, there where options for a beach ride which can be taken at sunset, but which guy could pass up the opportunity of a local brewery!!

  I volunteered for Cabalgatas Canoa for 2 months. Having done numerous trail rides around the world it was lovely to see how much time and effort goes into making sure... read more these horses are happy, healthy and getting regular health checks as would be expected in the UK. (This is something that is not very common unfortunately with other horses in the area). I would highly recommend going for either a beach or jungle ride when you are in Ecuador as it is truly a unique experience for all riding abilities.

The booking process was simple, the prices very reasonable, and the questionnaire we completed to make sure we had a suitable horse was thoughtful and appropriate. Zia came to pick us up in Canoa at our beachside hotel and dropped us back off when it was over. Our tour was about 4 hours total, we road through the coastal forest to the Beerkingo brewery where we were given a tour of the microbrewery (the owners were lovely), tasted their beers, and then rode back to the pickup point. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour because I was able to get outside of the small town of Canoa and see some more of the countryside. I highly recommend this unique experience. …
